Finger root oil (Boesenbergia rotunda), also known as Chinese ginger, is medicinal and culinary herb from China and Shouteast Asia. It is widely used in Javanese cuisine in Indonesia. Finger root oil is obtained by steam distillation of Boesenbergia pandurata’s rizhome.
