Lempuyang oil is an essential oil obtained from the distillation of dried rhizome from Zingiber aromaticum. Its originally from Southeast Asia, can grow up to 8 feet tall. The yellow flowers are sprouting from a red cone at the base of the plant. Young rhizome tips, shoots & flowers are eaten raw or cooked with rice or used to flavour other foods.
